Ukraine: a Trump adviser announces Macron’s visit to Washington next week

Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer will travel to Washington next week to discuss the war in Ukraine

Mike Waltz, U.S. National Security Advisor, announced that the French President and the British Prime Minister will be received at the White House as part of meetings aimed at advancing a resolution to the conflict.

At the same time, Emmanuel Macron continues his discussions with European leaders to coordinate a common stance on the situation in Ukraine and collective defense, as Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin plan a summit to restore their relations.

When contacted by Reuters, the French presidency declined to comment on the visit.
