A woman found lifeless in Switzerland: could she be the mother of the three children murdered in Taninges?
On November 13, a woman was found dead in a parked car in Switzerland, near the border with Haute-Savoie. Although her identity has not yet been confirmed, it is possible that she is the mother of the three children stabbed to death at their home in Taninges on Tuesday. The authorities are currently carrying out checks to establish her identity, including fingerprinting.
This discovery comes as the mother, a 45-year-old schoolteacher described as suffering from depression, has been actively sought since Tuesday afternoon. The three children, aged 2, 11 and 13, were found dead by relatives. A letter written by the mother was also found at the scene.
More than sixty gendarmes were mobilized to find the suspect, and investigators quickly directed their search towards Switzerland, favoring the hypothesis of a flight abroad. A statement from the Bonneville public prosecutor is expected later this evening to provide further information.
