2025 Ranking of High Schools and Colleges: Which Institutions Best Prepare for Success?

The French Ministry of National Education has just published the “success indicators” of schools in France, based on the 2024 baccalaureate and brevet results. These data help evaluate the performance of high schools and colleges through various academic criteria.

Evaluation Criteria

Several indicators were taken into account to compare institutions:

• Baccalaureate and brevet success rates for 2024

• Honors rates achieved

• Access rate from sophomore year to the baccalaureate, measuring the proportion of students who obtained the diploma without leaving their institution

• Added value of each school, measuring the difference between expected and actual results based on students’ socio-economic profiles

A high “added value” indicates that an institution has successfully supported its students beyond expectations, enhancing their success.
