SNCF: Holiday ticket sales open on October 2

Last year, over a million users simultaneously rushed to the SNCF website when tickets went on sale. This year, there’s a key date to mark in your diary: 6 a.m. on October 2. That’s when tickets for TGV, Intercités and Ouigo Grande Vitesse trains for the festive season will go on sale, as SNCF announced to franceinfo on Wednesday September 11, confirming a report in Le Parisien.

For TER and classic Ouigo trains, sales will follow the usual procedures: three to five months in advance for regional trains, and 45 days for low-cost Ouigo trains. Early birds will be lucky to snag the best fares, as demand will be strong. In 2023, on October 4, millions of Internet users will have logged on at the same time to book their journeys.

If your travel plans take you abroad, TGV tickets to Germany, Spain, Italy and Switzerland will be available from September 18. Eurostar tickets to London are already on sale. Get ready to seize the opportunity to plan your end-of-year vacations!
