Emergency services discovered the child unconscious in his living room. Two individuals were arrested. The boy had marks of violence on his body and burns on his back

A 4-year-old child was found lifeless in Stains, Seine-Saint-Denis, during the night of Monday 13 to Tuesday 14 May, according to information gathered by H24 MEDIA, confirming a report in Le Parisien. The young boy’s body was found lying on the living room floor of his home.

According to initial findings, the child’s body bore multiple marks of blows and back burns. The officers on the scene were alerted by the suspicious behaviour of the parents. The child’s mother and stepfather were both taken into custody, the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office told H24 MEDIA.

An autopsy has been ordered

Emergency services arrived at the scene at around 1am. According to initial reports, it was the child’s stepfather who alerted the emergency services, but unfortunately the child was already dead when they arrived.

The Bobigny public prosecutor’s office has informed H24 MEDIA that an investigation into the murder of a minor under the age of 15 has been opened in flagrante delicto and entrusted to the territorial police. An autopsy has also been ordered, according to the same source.
