Rassemblement National MEP Nathaly Antona, who came 24th on the list led by Jordan Bardella in the European elections, has died aged 49. Her death, announced by Jordan Bardella, comes after her election to the Strasbourg Parliament on Sunday 9 June

With 31.4% of the vote, the Rassemblement National won 30 seats in the European Parliament. Nathaly Antona, an RN executive in Corsica, was one of those elected.

In a statement, Jordan Bardella expressed his sadness: “The Rassemblement National is in mourning. We share the grief of his family and loved ones, and send our warm thoughts to those who worked alongside him.”

André Rougé, a former RN MEP who came thirty-first on Bardella’s list, will take Nathaly Antona’s place in the RN delegation to the European Parliament.
