Yaël Braun-Pivet was re-elected President of the French National Assembly on Thursday July 18, in the third round of voting, with a relative majority. With 220 votes, she won ahead of André Chassaigne (207 votes) and Sébastien Chenu (141 votes)

Candidates Philippe Juvin (LR) and Naïma Moutchou (Horizons) withdrew after the first round, while Charles de Courson (Liot) dropped out after the second round.

After her election, Yaël Braun-Pivet expressed her emotion and commitment by hailing the exceptional turnout of the French people in the early legislative elections, marked by a mobilization unprecedented in several decades. She called for collective responsibility and compromise, underlining the importance of cooperation and dialogue in moving forward together.
