Eleven Individuals Brought Before Judges in the Mohamed Amra Escape Case

Suspects Face Justice

On Wednesday, February 27, after an extensive investigation, eleven individuals suspected of being involved in the escape and fugitive status of drug trafficker Mohamed Amra were brought before the National Jurisdiction for the Fight Against Organized Crime (JUNALCO), according to judicial sources reported by H24 MEDIA. These suspects will be presented to investigating judges from this specialized jurisdiction at the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Decision on Their Detention

After being presented before the investigating judges, the suspects will be transferred to a judge of freedoms and detention (JLD), who will decide on their pretrial detention or judicial supervision.

Press Conference Scheduled for Friday Afternoon

At the same time, eight individuals remain in police custody as of Friday, February 28, in Paris. Three other individuals, linked to the circle of some of the suspects, were released on Wednesday evening.

Details on the Prison Van Attack

On Wednesday evening, in an interview broadcast on France 5, Paris Public Prosecutor Laure Beccuau confirmed the arrest of several suspects involved in the attack on the prison transport van, during which two correctional officers were killed.

The prosecutor indicated that she would speak at a press conference scheduled for Friday, February 28, in the early afternoon, to provide further details on the progress of the investigation.
