Louane to Represent France at Eurovision 2025: An Emotional Announcement

On Thursday, January 30, Louane revealed on Instagram that she will represent France at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. In a heartfelt video addressed to her late mother, who passed away in 2014, the 28-year-old singer expressed the deep significance of this moment:

“I dreamed of this life, of this moment. You dreamed of seeing me there, Mom, without ever knowing that it could one day come true… I will do it for us, for our dreams.”

Accompanied by images retracing her journey—from childhood to her early performances—the video serves as a reminder that it was her mother who signed her up for The Voice, the show that introduced her talent to the public. After an early appearance on L’École des fans in 2009, Louane gained national recognition in 2014 with her role in La Famille Bélier, which earned her the César Award for Most Promising Actress.
