The reopening will take place “in two stages”: firstly in the province-Paris direction from Thursday morning, then a complete reopening in both directions of traffic on Monday “at the end of the day”
Motorists can rejoice. The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture announced on Wednesday 19 June that the road will reopen completely in the province-Paris direction from this Thursday, and in the Paris-province direction from Monday.
As a reminder, the section between Paris and Vaucresson had been closed since 19 April due to the discovery of a crack in the carriageway.
Work carried out
A partial reopening had already taken place on 10 May in the province-Paris direction, limited to light vehicles and a single lane of traffic. Additional work was required to enable the other lane to be reopened.
Work was carried out to repair the cracked pipe, as well as backfilling to stabilise the motorway retaining wall.
In detail, the complete reopening of the motorway in the province-Paris direction will be effective from 5.30 am this Thursday, while the complete reopening of the motorway in both directions will take place at the end of the day on Monday.
