Winter sales 2025: everything you need to know about the dates in each region

The Winter Sales will officially begin in mainland France on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, and will run until Tuesday, February 4, 2025. This four-week period will give consumers the opportunity to find promotions on a wide range of products: clothing, shoes, appliances, furniture, and much more. These dates apply to both physical stores and online shopping platforms.

Specific dates for Lorraine and Overseas Territories

Lorraine: early sales
Residents of the Lorraine departments (Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, and Vosges) will benefit from early sales starting on Thursday, January 2, 2025. This exception aims to offset competition from Luxembourg, where sales begin earlier. In Lorraine, the promotion period will end on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, one week before the rest of mainland France.

Overseas Territories: tailored calendars
In Overseas Territories, the sales dates vary according to local specificities:

• Guadeloupe: from Saturday, January 4, 2025, to Friday, January 31, 2025.
• Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon: from Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
• Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin: a notable exception, the Winter Sales will take place from Saturday, May 3, 2025, to Friday, May 30, 2025. On these islands, the Summer Sales are held in October.

In Réunion, the Summer Sales will begin on Saturday, February 1, 2025, and end on Friday, February 28, 2025, as seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere. Similarly, in New Caledonia, the Summer Sales will take place from Saturday, February 22, 2025, to Sunday, March 23, 2025. In French Polynesia, the first sales period of the year (no Winter/Summer distinction) will run from Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to Sunday, February 9, 2025.

In Guyana, Martinique, and Mayotte, the dates for the Winter Sales will be the same as in mainland France.
