Aid to Ukraine

While the conference in Paris raised funds totaling 1 billion euros, President Macron congratulates French companies already participating in the reconstruction of a country devastated by bombings. These companies are tasked with providing essential materials such as rails, bridges, as well as food aid including seeds and fertilizers. Because reconstruction also, and of course, depends on a strong people who are sufficiently nourished

This aid is meant to be concrete, as winter has set in France but is even more present in Ukraine. Moreover, 50% of Ukraine’s electrical grid is currently damaged, leaving a large part of the population without access to water and electricity. Immediate action is required in such a delicate context. With the pragmatism he is known for, President Macron is working toward this goal.

The billion euros will be allocated to energy, food, healthcare, and transport. Although the entire sum has not yet been fully allocated, it will be in the coming days. In this war, as cynical as it is deplorable, investigations into crimes against humanity are multiplying, and Russia will undoubtedly have to answer for its actions under international pressure. This is a message echoed by nearly all world governments.

Another sensitive topic, and certainly not the least, is Zaporizhzhia, which remains at the center of the news and makes the headlines almost daily. The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) is sending missions to secure five of the main nuclear power plants, including Zaporizhzhia, which is occupied by the Russian army. As for France, it is also contributing by providing spare parts to help sustain these nuclear plants.

Then comes the time for reconstruction, which has already begun. The approximately 700 French companies invited to this meeting will not hesitate to participate in what is already shaping up to be an enormous undertaking. This reconstruction must be done with the spirit of restored freedom.
