Olivier Faure criticizes François Bayrou: a non-censorship pact impossible without clear gestures
PS conditions not met
Olivier Faure, First Secretary of the Socialist Party, stated that François Bayrou has not met the essential conditions to establish a non-censorship pact with his government. On RMC-BFMTV, he emphasized the lack of progress on three key points: distancing from the far right, abandonment of the use of Article 49.3, and a change in the direction of government policies.
A motion of censure on the horizon?
Faure clarified that the PS may consider voting for a motion of censure following François Bayrou’s general policy statement scheduled for January 14. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of clarity in the current proposals, particularly regarding the deficit, taxation, and pension reforms. “The ambiguity persists, and the government seems to avoid answering crucial questions,” said Faure, who demands concrete commitments from the Prime Minister.
