Disturbing Disappearance of Morgane, 13, in Côtes-d’Armor
A 13-year-old girl from Pabu, near Guingamp, has been missing since Monday, November 25. Her disappearance, reported by her mother after she failed to show up at school, has prompted significant mobilization. An investigation has been launched, and a search is scheduled for this Friday.
When did Morgane disappear?
Morgane, who is set to celebrate her 14th birthday on December 23, left her home in Pabu on Monday morning to go to her school. However, she never arrived. Her mother, alerted by the school, reported her missing later that morning.
An investigation was immediately opened by the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor’s office, as Morgane is a minor.
What are the initial findings of the investigation?
According to the first testimonies from her relatives, Morgane has never run away before. However, she reportedly had a disagreement with her parents over the weekend before her disappearance.
When Morgane left her home, she had neither money nor a bank card. According to the witness appeal shared in the local press, she is 1.54 meters tall, of average build, with long wavy chestnut hair and blue-green eyes.
The Guingamp gendarmerie’s research brigade is leading the investigation. Significant resources have been deployed, including a police dog and a helicopter, to trace the young girl’s whereabouts.
Witness appeals and local mobilization
Witness appeals have been widely circulated in the press and on social media.
Additionally, a search is being organized this Friday in the Trieux woods near Pabu. It will involve Morgane’s relatives and around thirty gendarmes exploring the area.
