Haute-Corse has been placed under orange vigilance for the risk of heavy rain and flooding this Saturday, November 9, due to a “rainstorm episode”, according to Météo-France
According to the institute’s bulletin published at 10 a.m., intense and sometimes stormy rain is expected on the east coast of Corsica, mainly in Haute-Corse, from midday until the end of the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Rainfall could locally reach intensities of 30 to 50 mm per hour, with accumulations of 80 to 120 mm in the space of 3 to 6 hours. Over the entire duration of the episode, some sectors could record spot accumulations of up to 150 mm or more.
