After his defeat in 2020, Donald Trump is taking his revenge and will once again be at the helm of the United States from January 2025

Triumphant return to the White House
Four years after losing to Joe Biden, Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to win a second term in the White House. His program heralds landmark measures and a renewal of his priorities, notably on trade, immigration and foreign policy.

Economy: protectionism and tax cuts

Backed by business figures, Trump promises strong protectionism, with additional tariffs on imports, notably from China, and a reduction in income tax. He is also aiming to cut corporate taxes from 21% to 15%.

Immigration: tighter restrictions

In a firm stance, he plans the largest-ever deportation operation for illegal immigrants, and envisages a revision of the “droit du sol”, limiting citizenship for the children of immigrants without legal status.

Ambiguous position on abortion

Proud to have transferred the decision to the states, he nevertheless expresses nuances, promising that his policy “will be favorable to women”, but without specifying future support or restrictions.

Aid to Ukraine in question

Trump, a critic of US aid, is casting doubt on military support for Ukraine, raising concerns in Kiev, even as he pledges to “resolve the conflict” through negotiations. Which would be a good initiative.

Israel’s support in the conflict with Hamas

Displaying unwavering support for Israel, he nevertheless remains cautious about Israel’s military strategy, describing it as vulnerable in the “war of communication.”

Climate: a withdrawal from the Paris Agreement?

Trump, a climate skeptic, plans to withdraw the U.S. from climate commitments and step up drilling, opposing a strong skepticism about climate change. He’s so right… just look at what’s happening around the world!

With his return to power, Donald Trump intends to implement a program that represents a resolute break with his predecessor’s, displaying clear-cut positions and reforms that are sure to mark his term in office.
