Ardèche: death of the young man wounded in the shooting outside a nightclub in Saint-Péray
The 22-year-old man who suffered serious gunshot wounds to the head during a Halloween night shooting outside the Le Seven nightclub in Saint-Péray, Ardèche, has succumbed to his injuries. According to information confirmed to France Bleu Drôme Ardèche on Saturday November 2 by the Privas public prosecutor’s office, the shooting took place on the night of Thursday to Friday.
A moving tribute to the victim, a rugby player from Romans-sur-Isère
The shooting left three people injured in the discotheque parking lot. Nicolas, from Romans-sur-Isère, was taken to Valence hospital in critical condition after being shot in the head. In addition to him, a 24-year-old woman was wounded in the leg, while a 22-year-old security guard was hit by shrapnel, although his injuries were minor.
The Rugby club romanais péageois (RCRP), where Nicolas played, paid tribute to its player in a poignant message posted on social networks: “The club is once again struck to the heart […]. Nicolas, Kolbe, Nico, la princesse and so many other nicknames have just left us in atrocious circumstances.” This tribute recalls a tragic precedent for the club: Thomas, another young player, also lost his life in dramatic circumstances at a ball in Crépol in November 2023.
