Eight years’ imprisonment requested for the alleged perpetrator of Antoine Alléno’s fatal accident

Yannick Alléno, father of Antoine, who tragically died in May 2022, has turned this loss into a fight for the recognition of “road homicide.” This week, eight years’ imprisonment was requested for the man accused of the death of the Michelin-starred chef’s son, reports H24 MEDIA on October 31, from the hearing held at the Paris judicial court.

The prosecutor also called for the permanent cancellation of the defendant’s driving license, with a ten-year ban on retaking it. On May 8, 2022, at around 11:12 p.m., Franky D., without a license and under the influence of alcohol, was driving a stolen vehicle in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, reaching a speed of 120 kph. After colliding with a VTC, he lost control and collided with a scooter.

Antoine Alléno, 24, was riding the scooter, accompanied by a colleague. Under the force of the impact, both passengers were ejected. Antoine succumbed to his injuries, while the passenger was injured. The driver, Franky D., tried to escape on foot, but was caught by an off-duty police commissioner. A test carried out two hours after the incident revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.56 g/l.
