Sexual harassment complaint against Slimane: a former technician makes accusations
A former Slimane technician filed a sexual harassment complaint with the Saint-Étienne public prosecutor’s office on Monday, according to information confirmed by franceinfo and Le Parisien. The alleged acts date back to December 17, 2023, during a concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne, and continued into the night.
According to sources close to the case, the technician accused Slimane of pressing him against a wall and asking him to have sex. After expressing his refusal, the complainant claims to have received several sexual messages from Slimane throughout the night. The technician reportedly informed his employing company, which eventually decided to withdraw its technicians from the artist’s tour.
Evidence under examination
The Saint-Étienne public prosecutor, David Charmatz, has indicated that he is waiting to receive evidence from the complainant’s lawyer. An investigation will then be launched to hear both parties.
Slimane, 35, made a name for himself by winning The Voice in 2016 and represented France at Eurovision last May, where he finished in fourth place. These recent accusations have tarnished the artist’s image, although investigations are still underway to establish the exact facts.
