Cowardly murder of Filipina: the Public Prosecutor’s Office announces the opening of a judicial investigation against the suspect for murder and rape

A judicial investigation was officially opened on Tuesday 24 September against the main suspect in the murder of Philippine, whose lifeless body was found in the Bois de Boulogne on Saturday 21 September. The man was arrested in Switzerland on the same day

The charges brought against him include murder preceded, accompanied or followed by another crime in a repeat offence, as well as rape, theft and fraud, also in a repeat offence. An arrest warrant has been issued for him by the examining magistrate.

Arrested in the canton of Geneva, the suspect is the subject of extradition proceedings, which will be submitted to the Swiss judicial authorities as soon as possible.

The victim, Philippine, a 19-year-old student at Paris-Dauphine University, was tragically found buried in the Bois de Boulogne, arousing great emotion.
