After a wait of almost two weeks, Prime Minister Michel Barnier has finally unveiled the composition of his government. A number of influential figures from the Republican Party, such as Bruno Retailleau and Annie Genevard, have joined the cabinet, marking a significant turning point

A fortnight after his appointment to Matignon, Barnier has succeeded in putting together a diversified team, in which the right wing plays an important role. However, members of the President’s camp were also entrusted with strategic positions.

The government comprises 39 ministers, 17 of whom hold full portfolios, 6 ministers delegated to the Prime Minister and 16 ministers delegated or secretaries of state. Here is the full list of appointments announced on September 21.
