On Wednesday, the Russian president mentioned the possibility of delivering arms to other countries in response to the use of Western weapons by Ukrainian forces against military targets in Russia

A warning from Moscow to Western nations. On Wednesday 5 June, Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to supply weapons to third countries capable of targeting Western interests if the West continues to allow Ukraine to launch attacks on Russia with long-range missiles.

‘If some people find it acceptable to supply such weapons to strike our territory (…) why shouldn’t we have the right to deliver our weapons of the same type to regions where sensitive installations in countries hostile to Russia are targeted,’ said Putin during a meeting with several press agencies, including AFP.

US President Joe Biden recently approved Ukraine’s use of US weapons to strike Russian targets near the Kharkiv region. Other Western nations, such as the UK, have also given their approval, and France has announced its support for the initiative. However, Ukraine hopes to obtain greater freedom from its allies in the use of these weapons.
