The 75-year-old singer Véronique Sanson has been hospitalised with pneumonia, forcing her to cancel her concert scheduled for this Sunday at Le Zénith in Nantes, according to her press officer. The concert has been postponed until Thursday 30 May, with tickets still valid
Despite this incident, she is still planning to meet her public at the Grand Rex in June and at various summer festivals. After triumphing over tonsil cancer in 2018, she is celebrating 50 years in the music business with a tour that included a series of performances at the Grand Rex, where she also celebrated her birthday last Wednesday.
The concert in Nantes was to be the last before the summer festivals, where she is expected in several cities. Véronique Sanson, a pioneering female singer-songwriter, has marked the decades with her unique style, blending French and Anglo-Saxon pop.
